Something must be said about the drive of the indoor cycling enthusiasts. Not just there to look good, but there to sweat. I have been a Certified Spin Instructor for approx. 1.5 years and on my way home from the studio I got to thinkin'. The majority of the 'Spinners' at the studio are not cyclists, in fact they have little time outdoors on a bike, however they have come to enjoy the pain that a simulated climb can bring. Although indoor cycling stems from the road aspect, I bring the mtb side of things to class. Put some good music in the mix and riders feed off of each other and the energy in the room. An hour is a short time and a small price to pay for the great cardio workout that you get!
Cheers,
Sue
