(The calm after the storm)
Well it's 2 inches high and risin'! We were one of the flood victims last night. The drain/creek that runs next to our house was full to the top (highest I have ever seen it). Needless to say the water backed up and our basement took in the overflow. We have never had a drop of water in our basement but with this crazy weather we got a surprise! We have an unfinished basement and nothing really got ruined other then the area rug. My oldest was babysitting and thanks to his quick thinking he picked up the couple of things that were on the ground. When he saw the water in the basement he called my husband at work and soon after my husband came home and my mom and dad came out to help. I was oblivious to the whole ordeal until I came back home with my daughter. Somehow my cell phone did not pick up the calls that they tried to make to me. As quick as the water came in, we got it pumped out. I know we were not the only ones that flooded, and I consider us lucky because no damage was done. phew!
How high is the water papa? Well it's all back outside!!
