Clear blue skies, temps. sitting around 0 degrees, and low winds, looks like the making of another riding day!! WRCS ride No.6 was planned for 11:00am, leaving from Cafe Mondo (Windsor Crossings). This ride brought out 20-25 people once again. I was the lone woman rider but was welcomed by the group. There were only a handful of us on mountain bikes and the rest on cyclocross (some single speed). I learned from last Sunday (see blog) and I bought a rear fender!! What a difference!! The pace was faster this week with the odd rider making an attack and the pack responding. From what I now gather, the Sunday rides are supposed to be a social/no one gets left behind kind of ride, however the group did split after about 25 kms and would rejoin back together 35 kms later at Cafe Mondo. I held with the front group and had a good time. Everyone bikes for different reasons, today I had no reason, I just rode!
