The Wellness Lifestyle..............

I like to think that this is the 'one stop wellness shop'!  With the pounding, training, and daily hurt that I put my body through I have people behind the scenes who help get rid of my aches.  I had my regular appointment at Renaissance Chiropractic and Natural Health Centre yesterday and walked out feeling great.  I have been going to them for about 6.5 years now.  The combination of massage therapy and chiropractic care have also played a role in my recovery.  I have spoke of this father/daughter duo before but this time I went with my camera in hand.  To their surprise I told them I wanted to blog about them.
My visit started with Tenille Smith, RMT.  My muscles were tight and sore to touch and it had been a while since my last massage. Let me tell ya, I felt them!!  As she worked through the 'knots', I only uttered a couple of unpleasant words, however I know in the end this is for my benefit.  Definitely no sleeping during deep tissue massages!!  :)
After the hour long massage I headed across the hallway to see Dr. Reimer, D.C..  His calm and very welcoming personality never makes you feel rushed.  He is very thorough and no ache or pain goes untreated.  I sit in a chair, face down, chest forward and he makes the adjustments using a computer, the ProAdjuster.  This computer gives him the visual feedback so he can pin point what needs to be 'fixed'.  In the past he's worked on my hips, a migraine, my shoulders, and back and the results are amazing.  Many discomforts can be treated, you just have to be open to thinking outside of the box.
Throughout my bike season and the off season I find it very important to keep my body as pain free as possible and I know the 2 people that 'truly have my back'.

Cheers,

Sue
