The high's and low's in January......

January has been an interesting month when it comes to the weather and to think there is still almost 2 weeks left in the month!  The difference a day or 2 makes on the high and low temps!!

I met up with Erin on Saturday, January 12 to go for a ride.  We rode the pavement at Island Lake and Kensington Park.  It was so great to see so many people out enjoying the 50 degree (+) weather.  No surprise that I was still bundled up, but there were many people out in shorts!  Now that's crazy.... it is still January!!

(2 days before these pictures, the ice and snow covered the sand on the beach, and now the water levels  have jumped!)

After taking advantage of the 50 degree weather and blue skies, the following day (Sunday) wasn't quite as great!  Overcast and a bit of rain.  However another day in the saddle makes for another good day!!


Once again blue skies over the flatland but the frigid temps lingered!!

Fricken' Freezing ride.  My slush drink!
Yesterday's ride was darn cold!!  I did 80% of my ride on gravel road and trail.  The wind was great for power and strength building!  I can't wait to get on some trail.  Maybe if things stay frozen I can get some single track riding in, sooner rather than later.



Happiness!  Celebrating Clayton's 11th birthday.  He is such a cool kid!!
