Happiness is.............
On Monday, April 12, Jay and I made the trip to Charlotte, MI to pick up my team
Quiring frame. Scott Quiring greeted us in the parking lot and then guided us through the old brick building to the basement workshop. After approx. an hour of picking his brain on the frame building process, we exchanged 'goods' and Jay and I were on the road again. This time heading to
Great Lakes Cycling and Fitness, where the frame would soon become a bike! Between Oscar (owner of GLCF), and Jason Lummis (teammate) my bike was soon built. Probably could have been a done bit earlier had another teammate, whom I will not mention HIS name, not squeezed my brake lever as my brake lines were in the process of being cut!! Air in the lines!! Thanks Steve Dempsey (oops I said HIS name!!) Kidding aside, he actually helped out in his suit!! I took the bike through the parking lot test, hopped over some curbs, you know, just played around! It's fun, feels fast, and looks fast. For a 29'er I guess 'she' looks small, or so I've been told!
Thanks Scott for a beautiful frame, to Oscar for his expertise, Jason for making it all come together, and Steve for HIS............time wasting tactics :o) I have the bike before my first race of the season!
As it sits here it weighs in at around 20.8 lbs!!
Thanks to the team sponsors for the goodies!!!
Cheers,
Sue

I've had the pleasure of seeing this new bike in "real life." The "real thing" is even prettier and faster looking than in the photos!
