Seasons come and go..............................

Spring cleaning, de-cluttering, making room, call it what you want. The fact that the sun is shining and the temps have come above freezing puts bike season preparation in motion. I was going through my bike clothes and I couldn't help but notice the variety of jerseys I have accumulated over the past few years. I'm sure many of you can relate to the pile of jerseys you just can't get rid of because they have some meaning/memory behind it. I received some from races, some from sponsors and others given to me as gifts. Here are just a 'few' of mine with a story to tell.............
1. The Ontario Cup Series has always been a priority on my race schedule and these leaders jerseys that I have earned along the way can't be bought.........priceless!!  :o)

2. This grouping of jerseys, I either won or got them as a gift. I must tell the story behind the Sweet Pete's jersey. A fellow cyclist arrived at an O-Cup only to realize he had a problem with his front wheel. He tried to fix it to no avail. After a quick chat with Jay we lent him my spare wheel. After the race he returned my wheel and said he had one of his best races. So as a thanks, he sent me a team jersey, how awesome (or perhaps I should say 'Sweet').

3. The last set of jerseys show the various clubs/teams that I have been lucky to be part of. From my first bike shop sponsor, The Bicycle Shop, to my first factory sponsor, Brodie Bikes, it's all part of my racing history.

So here we are, the race season just around the corner. I will be with a new team (Bell's/Quiring Cycles),  new teammates, new bike and I'll be wearing a new jersey.

It's the jersey that identifies you in the pack.  It's the jersey that others see coming in the distance,or if you are having a good day from the back.  It's your jersey, your team flag, it does mean something, wear it with pride!!

Cheers,

Sue
