Race mode for a little longer........
No posts in a couple of weeks? Wow.....my intentions when I first started the blog was not to let it sit idle for more then a week. Tap myself in the hand and start typing! ;)
After provincials I took a week off from thinking race. With all the hype leading up to provincials I was a bit "mentally race" drained. If that makes any sense? Jay and I rode some of the local single track. Fun rides, keeping the legs moving. Come this past week, I got back on top of my climbing and tempo rides. My race season is not over yet!
So, come Sunday (yesterday), another race day (a bit last minute, I may add)............. Jay and I headed over to Addison Oaks, Oakland County, Michigan. The MMBA promoted this race, their yearly "Fall Classic". Beautiful weather and perfect trail conditions. Addison is at least 80% single track. It is a fun fast course. It was another race that I trained through seeing it as low priority. I had a good time and took 1st, Katerina Machacova (Team Fraser) 2nd and Lynn Alfs (Paint Creek Bicycles) claimed 3rd. My legs were strong and I held a nice steady pace. So the day wrapped up with Jay going out for a ride, a quick bite to eat and then home sweet home!
Cheers,
Sue
