Not even the perk of having Kim (Ms. Dirt Diva) herself come to the ride enticed ladies to come out!! What's up with that? None the less the group may have been small, but brought out a new member, Shelley! Kim came to greet and did a bit of walking before leaving early. The ride was at Malden Park. With the inside/outside city workers on strike the park was overgrown. With all the overgrowth, the wildlife was out in full force!! Including the doe that allowed me to get within 5 feet of her for the pic. before she hopped off and snakes (not my favourite). I lead the ride and we covered the park's outer paved loop, all the single track, did some climbing, a couple of downhills and then we ventured off on the Windsor trail. We may have been a small in number, but we still managed to pull off a couple of wipe-outs. Donna in the rock section of the single track, where she landed on her tailbone (ouch!) and Steph on the Windsor paved trail! OK perhaps I was distracting her with my chatty bit, but she fell on her own and was proud of her little scratch! The rest of us (Shelley, Paiten and myself) stayed upright (phew!). Just as my face is healing the last thing I need is another mark. So there you have it, another Dirt Diva ride, more fun, more memories and lots more laughs!
