
Signs, signs, everywhere are signs……
The weather was nice, the wind was strong, bundled up, camera in pocket, out for a ride, out to capture my life constantly reading the ‘signs’. Seems like I am always evaluating how I feel, legs sore, muscles ache, tired, feel lazy, motivated, strong, focused, excited, the list goes on and on. What does it all mean, are they signs of something? Perfect training, over training, need a massage, take recovery, just breath….. Unlike the signs along my route, the signs my body sends out are not so clear cut. So, I keep plugging away at a method and loosely scheduled training program and learn from trial and error. My ride today went from (washboard like) gravel trail against the wind, to road with side wind then wind at my back almost pushing me home. I have been leaving the i-pod at home the last couple of rides and I think at times I need to do that. I am more aware of what’s around me, the sounds, the sights, the signs! My head is clear, the ride flows, the bike rides!
Do this don’t do that, can’t you read the signs?
