I mention Kim's name in my blogs often and I know I have even thrown Pak's in the mix. Not only are we friends as cyclists and bikers (yes, there is a difference) but we are great friends off the bike as well. In fact there's not too many days that go by without us talking. (Kim and I are sort of known for talking, her more than I (lol)) Well tonight I visited them at the hospital. They were in a car accident last night. Not just any accident they were hit by a drunk driver! I am so mad and sad. They are both doing well. Kim is in ICU and had surgery but will be out of ICU tomorrow and Pak is dealing with a neck injury. Jay, Pak, Kim and I have had a lot of fun over the past few years, camping, biking and just hanging out. They are always there with encouragement and have taught me to "shut up and ride" and "suck it up buttercup". I have so many more pictures (some I will keep as bribe pictures) but I have thrown together a small collage. Each picture of course has a story behind it. So cheers to a speedy recovery because those trails will be lonely until they are back in the saddle.
